About me
Hello, my name is Laura and I'm an Italian teacher. I received a Master degree in italian language and literature at University of Padova and CEDILS certification at University of Venice. It is a qualification that enables me to teach Italian as a second language.
I have thought for many years Italian in secondary schools and I have experience of teaching to groups of foreign students (both teenagers and adults). Through all these activities I have organized the course material that includes various topics and is divided into different levels of difficulty.
My lessons are structured according to language proficiency levels set by the European framework and adapt to the needs of my students and to their way of learning: "If I do not learn the way you teach me, teach me the way I learn.".
The first trial lesson is specifically intended to understand the knowledge level of Italian and the needs of students in order to prepare an effective program. Usually during lessons my students practice understanding, speaking, reading, writing and reflect on grammar rules with the right balance between practice and theory.
They also discover connections between language and culture through a combination of education and fun.
How to book italian lessons
For practical reasons, the easiest way to book is via italki language platform. On my italki page you can consult the services offered with the relative prices, the teaching certificates attested by italki, the work experiences, the lesson history and students’ feedback. For booking lessons you need to purchase credits (all credit purchase information). Minimum credit purchase is $10 USD in italki Credits.

Just after 20 lessons I have got a good understanding of the subjunctive, and this would've been imposible without Laura's efforts to make me comprehend the grammar in a fun and easy way. Also, I really like our conversations during the speaking part; time flies with Laura while talking about really interesting things (she's really well educated and can speak about very different things related with all the Italian culture, traveling, society, politics, literature, history...).
